The Werner Berg Museum -
The Power of Images - Divine Visions
Contrasting with “The Power of the Word" and its meaning in the preservation and diffusion of belief and knowledge through the medieval monastery, Bleiburg will host “The Power of the Image”, which focuses on the ability of images to create sense and meaning.
An excellent range of contemporary art presents a visual counterpart to the historical eras dealt with at St Paul’s.

“Divine Visions - Art and Transcendency in 20th-century Austria"
The Werner Berg Museum offers visitors the opportunity to contemplate how Austria's 20th-century artists portrayed visions of divinity and transcendency in their work. The pieces on display are the work of over 50 selected artists, from Alfred Kubin, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka to Herbert Boeckl, Max Weiler, Arnulf Rainer and Hermann Nitsch.
As a whole, the selected works also present an impressive overall view of the history of Austrian modern art. How did each individual artist experience divinity? This forms the exhibition’s central question.
The collection of work by Werner Berg, which is on permanent display in the museum, is particularly significant.
The new sculpture garden unveils some excellent examples of contemporary sculpture.
Werner Berg Farm Shop
The Werner Berg Genießerei will offer an array of tasty treats from the whole Alpe-Adria region, with an emphasis on home-made specialities from the countryside.
Hosting the Europe Exhibition in St Paul's and Bleiburg presents the whole region with the chance to portray itself to the rest of Europe as a cultural area par excellence, with an infinity of attractions to see and do. The international scale and quality of this large project has also convinced the Carinthian government, resulting in the largest sponsorship yet in our region.
